    Hi CB,

    I agree about the verticality but I don't think you are right saying it's constrained by supergene ore. I gave you the example of the Elura Zn-Pb-Ag deposit which is about 55km north north-west of Cobar in November last year on this exact topic.

    The supergene at Elura is thin (about 3m thick) and not a significant part of the economic deposit and DOES NOT contain sphalerite. PEX has a lot of the pale brown sphalerite in the mineralisation (see photo of core). Might be worth you reading the two posts below more carefully. You can't be sure both deposits will have the exact same characteristics but I'd say it's a fair bet the lack significant supergene is more likely to be a similarity than difference.

    If the deposits are the same we need to explorer the vertical domain more intensely. Elura goes down to about 900m and comprises 6 steep pipe like accumulations of sulphides over a strike length of 650m. Esh
