https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20200430/pdf/44hfmwr6m44dx6.pdfWe keep getting "why were we suspended, no one has ever told us why", and it isn't difficult.
The initial reasons for the suspension were (from sections 1.2 and 1.3):
- Questions about whether ISX's 2018 performance shares were legitimately earned
- Significant volatility in the ISX share price
- Cryptocurrency concerns
- ASIC concerns about the accuracy of financial reporting
- ASIC's preliminary investigation, which was considered likely to become a formal investigation
Between these 5 issues, it was considered that ISX wasn't trading in a properly informed market.
I'm happy for people to debate whether those are
valid reasons, but they are still reasons, and claiming we've never been told why is rubbish. Given that we just dropped our lawsuit against them (after the directors maneuvered to extend their tenure), it shows that the company did not think the case would be successful. Suggestions that we'd drop a $500m lawsuit we had any chance of winning to focus on SP1/ISXF are laughable.
