I was punished for investing in Mark Hine’s DDB and not having the smarts to get out when the going was good.
As far as Rowan Johnston stepping out goes,
Thank you very much Rowan!
Looking back, it seems he was originally appointed as an interim chair on 31/91/22 but then two months later took the job as ‘permanent’ https://www.listcorp.com/asx/spr/sp...-johnston-as-non-executive-chair-2690898.html
At that time - 31/03/22-he wrote;
“I am absolutely delighted to accept the role of Chairman of Gascoyne on a permanent basis, at what is a hugely exciting time in the Company’s evolution. Our re-focused exploration strategy at the Dalgaranga Gold Project is yielding very encouraging results, with new high-grade discoveries in the region surrounding the processing plant.“We have a reinvigorated management team in place that has already demonstrated a strong ability to deliver positive results and articulated a clear vision to drive future growth. This energy, combined with a strong, debt-free and unhedged balance sheet and healthy cash position, puts Gascoyne in an exceptional position to continue delivering on our long-term growth objectives.”
Since then he has presided as chair over an incredible story
And NB when he first came on board on 20/10/20 (?) almost two years before the chairmanships, GCY was truly in the pit of hell, priced at just 3c a share, and it having recently been a toss up whether it would ever get back on the ASX boards.
..“Gascoyne Resources Limited (“Gascoyne” or “Company” )(ASX:GCY) is pleased to announce that the Deedof Company Arrangement (“DOCA” )has now been effectuated and full control of the Company has passedto the Directors of the Company with Mr Richard Hay assuming the role of Managing Director supportedby Mr George Bauk (Non Executive Chairman) and Mr Rowan Johnston (Non Executive Director).
By way of background, at a meeting of the Company’s creditors held on 25 June 2020, creditors resolvedthat the Company enter into a DOCA to recapitalise the Company and restructure its debts. The DOCA wasentered into on 26 June 2020.”
Cheers
