    looked on SH education thread. Similar question. Could have bought Friday & sold Mon, ex distr, and received distr. OK. Doesn't really work with T+3 & record date, but why would anyone expect something to be rational on the ASX??

    Also see you could crystalize a capital loss this FY & get your capital back next FY.
