I am from NZ and have just been told that tax is nil.That means nil tax to AUS but still have to square up on my NZ tax at end of year. I could well end up paying more tax as a result. If you have shares in another country you have a problem of double tax,but in this case between Aus and NZ tax is only paid in country of residence.

By the way as of writing I have received nothing. My thinking is that my bank is holding it till Monday on the excuse that they need to verify,but in reality it is held so that bank can get free interest over the weekend. I find they do this whenever possible. so in a way AUS is getting back some money,as nearly all NZ banks are Aus owned.
