AVZ can ice cream scoop anywhere along Roche Dure or Carrier D'Lest making the first few years all shallow retrievals of Li bearing Spod for processing.
The DFS is going to be a doozy. As @Scarpa has mentioned many times, overall cost will drop, through both tin/tantalum credits, but also hopefully a further refining of transport costs plus a firm route (or two).
My guess is they will move forward based on a 5mtpa processing plant initially, unless an OT/JV requests more upfront (and provides the cash to help fund it). IMO 10mpta will occur at some stage.
Plenty of options yet to be exercised in the meantime will only assist with cash flow....AVZO expire in May 2020 however I think AVZ will reach FID prior to this date. Huayou's option deadline in April will be a clear indication of their commitment to the cause, however, recently paying just enough to retain a board member says they are still interested.
They will need to if they want to retain their proposed production date.
On a side note, does anyone know how the power plant re-furb is going?
