    I love a robust discussion.

It's not about being gloomy, it's about being realistic.

The planning process must be a lot easier in Australia

than it is over here. As I said, I trained as a mining engineer and now work as a civil project engineer on major projects in Cornwall (I'm having a look at a scheme in Callington tomorrow).

If you wanted to build a road that wasnt up to adopted highway standard, the first thing would be to buy some land, due to the topography you would have to go East of Kelly Bray - that's a major problem, most of the land to the east is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall (Prince Charles to you guys), he has a policy of not selling land unless it's of significant economical benefit to him.

Permits for River crossings are extremely difficult to come by, particularly in areas that flood, like this area of the Tamar.

The cheapest option is to build a plant on site and secure the long term op ex benefit of that and improved recovery of the ore body.

The Drakelands plant struggles to treat the ore it was designed to treat, why it would have any more success with ore it hasn't been designed to treat is beyond me. It certainly doesn't have the capability to remove copper and would struggle to cope with the level of suphides in tge Redmoor ore body.
