Good WPL can trade off its expertise in LNG.
To clarify, I am not negative on LNG. Just that I think there was scope for diversification - such as maintaining international presence / oil or looking at unconventional opportunities. WPL IMO became a bit blinkered by LNG.
Unfortunately the LNG plan has not paid off as planned.
In the case of Israel, the lack of assets elsewhere in the MENA is now an advantage. So full marks to someone for spotting this opportunity and exploiting it.
