I found a really great forward looking for global O&G CAPEX but I can't find it now. So frustrating.
But I did find this chart from a McKinsey report dated early 2018. It shows that the oil sector (ex gas) is still ramping up planned CAPEX (i'm guessing from already reported, committed projects) until 2021. Also it importantly shows that the weakness in the Energy space is likely the result from the lower spend on new projects in previous years and given the expected lag in SDA's revenues to these CPAERX numbers, I do actually think we'll see some good numbers come from Energy.
If the profile beyond 2021 continues to look weak , I'd expect our exec to focus our cash and efforts on sectors with better, more consistent forward looking returns.
