You need to consider that there will not be many CEO's sitting around at home waiting for a job.
The next CEO is likely in a position where they need to give 3 months notice before they can jump ship, add 2 months for the search/vetting process and we are well into Q1 2022.
I would expect an announcement by the end of the year with the replacement starting by Feb/March.
Plus wouldn't want the new CEO starting in the middle of the Christmas rush
