Bank BNPL products aren't a major threat I feel, if I take a look at the HSBC BNPL recently launched in the UK - the credit card holder pays the fees, not the deepest pocket being the merchant under the SPT model.
If I desperately wanted to use BNPL now before Splitit rolls out globally, I would use one of those pesky competitors to avoid paying fees and would never use HSBC.
