At a time when growth stocks are finding it hard to raise capital at least SPT had 2 offers.
With every CR , current holders shares get diluted as there are more shares on offer.
With this one more dilution due to the deal being offered than normal.
Unable to raise more capital means Administration!
The fact that Motive who have $5B (under management) has its owns funds at stake with SPT gives it the best chance to turnaround.
I doubt very much Motive will throw $50M unless they see an opportunity to make many multiples on their investment.
Jeff Yakubi one of the founding partners of Motive comes from Fiserv where he served as CEO for 15 years.
Fiserv is the second tier of card networks with Paypal & Global payments. MA & V are on the top tier in terms of market share.
Looks like Motive already have partnerships with Fiserv where they acquired 60% of Investment services business from Fiserv.
I am speculating here, but could we see some sort of a partnership with Fiserv in the near future or is it a done deal that we dont know about ?
