    Unfortunately that is not correct.

    You may be reconstructed by possibly 1:100 (or more or less) leaving you a very small shareholder in something that may be quite large. You may or may not do well.
    As you know, you need to crystalise a loss (sell out) to gain any tax benefit but there are also some strict tax rules when it comes to that. Consult your tax agent.
    There is a lot of misunderstanding on this issue coupled with a call centre calling shareholders while not giving the truth, which just adds to the confusion.

    Private equity is often misunderstood and I am not going to explain that today. What money private equity puts in will go back to them as they will control the entity. Don't be fooled thinking shareholders are getting those funds or a dividend. That's just wishful thinking.
