IMO Great news considering the position of the company. If it was an aggressive takeover or merger they would be offering at a lot less than $0.2 USD. A real kick would be offered 5 cents a share.
Someone out there values the SPT's value proposition to throw $50M at the company. A lot of skepticism about this offer and maybe because I am naive about M&A. My friend is an accountant who has been on a number of boards ( he also owns SPT shares ) and at first glance he thinks the offer is sound and in fact pretty good considering SPT's financial position.
My question to the critics out there...What options does SPT have? what would constitute a good deal? If you were the board of directors what actions would you take for the share holders?
