Do you think that you know the market better than Pfizer? One of the largest pharmaceutical companies globally tried hard to do what LTP has achieved. That is put an ED drug into a nasal spray. They failed because that drug is not stable and crystalizes in liquid form. This is a company that had the most successful ED drug ever, that still has close to US$500mill in annual sales despite the US$90 price in the US and the availability of much cheaper generics. Why would they spend time and money trying to put their drug in a nasal spray if there is no market for it?
There clearly is a market for nasal sprays as Pointlesspete just posted. It doesn't matter how much of it is for sinus problems, people are obviously not afraid of nasal sprays. If it works better, quicker than a pill, you don't need to fast before taking it, has less side effects, allows you to take a lower dosage for the same effect, is a non generic that is much cheaper than Viagra, then why wouldn't people take it? I'd take it over a pill for just any one of those reasons. I wouldn't be alone. It has too many advantages to not have a market.
It sounds like you have a preference for tablets or a dislike for nasal sprays. You shouldn't assume the whole market thinks like you do. We only need 3-5% market share to be very successful. I'd imagine Spontan will achieve much better than that. In the hands of a big name brand with huge distribution channels, it would probably do much better again, even at a significantly higher sell price. That would make this a very attractive product for a big JV deal or straight out takeover.
With the big correction in sp, the upside for fresh investors or a top up is now much better. I took part profits over $2 like many others must have done when I saw heavy selling but I started gradually buying back as the correction deepened. I added another 17,500 shares yesterday. I could have waited for a lower price but nothing has changed to justify this deep of a sp correction and we have no way of knowing if the sp will reverse sharply today so I'm accumulating at what seems to me to be good value.
