With that Class Action hanging over their head at the time of negotiating a takeover of Spotless how is it that Downer went ahead with the transaction; if ever a bargaining chip presented itself surely this was it.
Reflects very poorly on the then Downer management, most of whom are still there.
It is not as if Downer really needed Spotless to add to their weird mix of companies.
