Only my opinion, but the reason for the messages and trying to make people aware more about the SPP is mainly related to ensure that all eligible shareholders had an opportunity to evaluate the SPP and if they find valuable to them they will be able to subscribe and not missing out of an opportunity due to slow snail mail, not following closely their investment, etc. To me, it rather shows that management is very genuine and cares about the small holders during this entire process and its fairness to all eligible holders, not just specific ones and I really appreciate it and I am convinced it will be successful and closed oversubscribed, but only will know next Tuesday. Wish more companies BOD would be like that.
