I'd love to see us attract some NAIF funding. It seems a perfect fit to me, but I'm kinda worried about the whole NAIF scheme. From memory the ALP took a policy to the last election of promoting fracking of NW of Australia (development of unconventional gas fields - they didn't want to use the F word) and delivering the gas to the East coast. To make it feasible they wanted to plunder the entire NAIF funds to provide infrastructure, pipelines etc. Now that the LNP is promoting similar exploitation of those field for their gas led recovery, they'll be faced with the same problems delivering to the East Coast that the ALP had. My worry is that they'll come up with the same solution.
