I have held Afterpay since 2018 but i am quite inexperienced in the Stockmarket and have not encountered a similar buy out/takeover situation. I am confused by this and don’t fully understand the options to us as shareholders.
Are these essentially our options?
1 - sell APT shares at market value at any time up until takeover date? If looking at this option, is the APT share price likely to move in line with Square? Therefor a strong jump today?
2 - hold until Square takes over and become a shareholder in Square? Does the value of our shares move up and down during that time? Or are we locked into .375 of yesterday’s price? Or .375 of the square price at a date in the future?
