Ann: Square, Inc. announces plans to acquire Afterpay, page-461

Ok even though I sold my entire SQ holding (3%) last night at 271, I'm more confident and happy about this deal than ever after studying:

1) Square's results - the underlying non Bitcoin strength was incredible and the continued MAU growth in Cash App superb
2) The deal synergy for Afterpay on both sides of the eco system and for Square in the international space

This really does advance the case for Square becoming the de facto digital banking giant of our time.
The one minor concern I have is what happens to Afterpay Money in all this as I think that could catapult the Cash App and consumer digital banking a long way and hope that Square doesn't knock it on the head.

I now intend to roll my entire Afterpay holding into Square ordinary stock which will be a 10% holding for me - up there with Shopify, Crowdstrike and The Trade Desk.
