holding
Details of the transactions or other events requiring disclosure: On 4 August
2015, Origin Energy Limited entered into a block trade agreement with
Macquarie Capital (Australia) Limited (ABN 79 123 199 548) (Macquarie) under
which Origin Energy Limited appointed Macquarie to manage and underwrite the
sale of the 389,314,921 ordinary shares in Contact Energy Limited held by
Origin Energy New Zealand Limited, Origin Energy Pacific Holdings Limited and
Origin Energy Universal Holdings Limited for $4.65 per share. Pursuant to
that agreement, on-market sales of the 389,314,921 ordinary shares were
effected on 5 August 2015, at a sale price per share of NZ$4.65 for aggregate
consideration of NZ$1,810,314,382.65, with settlement occurring on 10 August
2015.
