Public opening position disclosure / dealing disclosure by a person with
interests in relevant securities representing 1% or more - Rule 8.3 of the
Takeover Code ("the Code")

Further to the announcement of a recommended merger of Melrose Resources plc
("Melrose") and Petroceltic International plc dated 17 August 2012, in
accordance with Rule 8.3 of the Code, Caledonia announces an opening position
as at 17 August 2012 of 11,785,302 ordinary 10p shares in Melrose, which
represents 10.28% of Melrose's issued shares with voting rights.
