Wow, that's got to be one of the worst announcements from a large company I've seen in a while.
They've not only sheltered the full impact of the news by referring to revenue only - since when is this their preferred metric in normal reporting updates? - but they've made little effort to reassure investors about things moving forward. How are they managing other relationships to prevent this happening? What's the strategy with fees after this? Etc. And why did they need a whole weekend to conjure this up if the news was delivered to them on Friday afternoon and they're going to run with a basic revenue impact scenario?
Sure there might be value at play here given how big the selloff is, but very poor form.
