It does no one favours to attempt to refute the privileges afforded to an older generation, which are largely now unattainable to younger persons.
More so, any attempt to do so just adds fuel to the perception of greed, and lack of appreciation.
No one likes to be disrespected, disparagingly called a "boomer". But the ship sails both ways. Persons struggling don't like to be told it's due to their inherent laziness or the buying of avocados.
From a young persons perspective all they see is:
Fully refundable franking credits; Property portfolio thanks to cheaper housing relative to wages; Cheaper education; Defined benefit super schemes; Negative gearing etc.
And importantly a reluctance for anyone who received these benefits to accept they were in fact benefits.
I guess it's easier to throw the lazy, not willing to compromise taglines.
