TheY have no downstream experience to do that.
Posco, as stated from recollection by Joe Lowry have very little downstream experience also. They are an unproven player in the space who have had big ambitions for a long time with little progress.
We have already seen huge cost blowouts for the downstream plant in Perth, originally it was circa $700m and now trending over $1b. Its very likely all these plants will have costs blowouts like everything else in this space. Cant fault PLS for lack of ambition but too big too soon is a distinct risk going forward in a very volatile and un-established space.
