My discussion of a share holder deciding when to sell also applies to what % of your holding you sell.
You gave an example of 25g gain which is above the tax free threshold. I said if you are prepared to live humbly you can declare a gain below the tax free threshold - not necessarily your whole holding.
Accordingly it was not misleading as Poker Moe pointed out.
For example one could travel for a whole year, or fish, or create or enjoy life in some way etc with no other income and just sell a % of their shares up to the limit which varies over the years. ( Don't forget rebates and credits from divs if any as these too change year to year )
