Indeed - existing contracts are always a boon; every organisation will (or should) conduct a thorough level of due diligence to ensure that a proposed solution will satisfy their requirements. However, existing contracts by other organisations builds that implicit base of trust and goes some way to greasing the cogs for future signings, building momentum, and reducing time required to move from RFP to sign-ups.
