This looks like a very very good deal for SMR. Very little net outlay, current production, major costs far into the future. From memory, SMR also bought some coal assets off Peabody a little while ago. I think what is happening is that coal has come under intense pressure from greenies worldwide, and POTUS (Obama) is one who has caved in (very willingly unfortunately). So overseas coal companies are hurting like h*ll and are divesting their overseas assets to prop up their domestic ones. Hence the opportunities that SMR has stepped into. There's still high risk, but China isn't going to suddenly stop buying coal, and our current govt isn't going to stop SMR selling it to them. Everything SMR needs seems to be in place or in progress (equipment, transport, etc), and it is suddenly a much bigger player than it was, so this should see a major re-valuing of SMR. Highest risk is possibly the Libs losing the next federal election and Labor in power being beholden to the greens yet again. Hopefully that won't happen.....
