anyone confident on what is the precise yield for smr from run of mine to saleable Yield ? Nsw mines ( mainly open cut thermal ) its around 75 % or 25 % loss at the CHPP , but some of the Smr data looks lower ie circa 65 %?
Depends a bit on the seams and how much over burden and low value mineralised rock you have mixed in to , not just washing and crushing loss . you can just divide one into the other due to stockpiling or the reverse where you run these down to maintain CHPP throughput . Over time dividing one into the other and averaging it would give a pretty fair representation but we haven’t had a lot of published data so far from smr post bhp mine acquisitions .
Trying to build a better predictive model . Like most companies they love quoting Rom figures but to be honest , it really means Jack . The important number is saleable tonnes .
