Those trusting Aussies have continued to increase their holdings and the distribution is now 52.5% AVH to 47.5% RCEL (I confess, I was one of the battlers who took the leap @$2.42 despite the obvious risks).

I find it strange that the short interest for AVH is 0.3%, the lowest it has been for at least 3 years, but RCEL is at its highest level 8.24% (16.5% if you work on the 2,031,008 short interest / 12,330,338 RCEL shares traded on the NASDAQ). I wonder what the reasoning for that is e.g., the AVH shorts moved to RCEL due to less reporting requirements/transparency (twice per month vs 4 days).

I plugged some data from the above website and spat out the chart below which compares the RCEL short sale % to the share price:



It indicates to me that the shorts are always lurking and have previously exited without pushing the share price too much higher, if at all. With good news indicating that the company is on track to execute on guidance, perhaps this time will be different; we'll see.

A chart I thought looked promising from a potential recovery point of view was this one tracking the price to sales ratio where the current level (3.9x) has been the base level in the past:



Anyway, since most bets have been placed either way and the wise are waiting on the sidelines, this post is really just another small distraction while we wait to see the numbers and hear further updates (hopefully, positive ones backing up management's expectations).
