I tried to do exactly this, but unfortunately, CMC markets have not let me (BNP the custodian). But the reason I wanted them on the ASX was that when I wish to sell, I don't need to stay up until midnight to get an accurate measure of price and liquidity. It makes complete sense for an Aussie to transfer stock to the ASX and have greater access to their stock.
