That's a sweeping generalisation and like, just your opinion, man.
It is a documented fact that most BNPL users have very low incomes. The 'typical' user is a female student in her 20s with a part time job. Afterpay uses the totally spurioushousehold income measure to pretend otherwise. [Ignoring the fact that most users would be living with their families.]
Businesses are getting a bargain for the alternative - you often claim Afterpay is simply "store credit" - well, if that's the case how much time and risk would be taken on by a small business by keeping their own credit ledger and chasing repayments?
LMAO. Most businesses stopped offering store credit decades ago because it was replaced by credit cards. [The only real exception are trade suppliers who offer business accounts.]
Afterpay is just a low limit credit card accepted by almost nobody.
