You're right to not regard this as in the multi-bag until the shareholder meeting votes on the bid. I still see this as a poker game with the players trying to lure ALL into a bigger offer by holding out, rather than an effort to hold on to the company. With that in mind, I'm hopeful for a good outcome for us (although still not to the point where I'm prepared to bet on it by buying more shares). Nervous days, though, as ALL has to convey the impression that they're really prepared to walk away rather than pay more. Personally, I can't see that happening and I guess the hold-out Playtech investors know that.

I'm puzzled about how a group of investors that control less than 30% of Playtech can block the sale. I'm not up on English corporate law, but I would think it's pretty similar to Australian law, and that a vote is carried if over 50% of voters are in favour of the resolution. So unless these mysterious "Asia-based investors" can rope in another 20% of shareholders, I don't understand how they can block the sale. If anyone knows, please share it.
