As I understand, this unregulated part of Playtech is the part ALL plans to hive off anyway. It's so dodgy, they don't want to besmirch their "good corporate citizen" standing with it, and keeping it would raise regulatory roadblocks in the jurisdictions they really want to get into – the USA's RMG market. According to the Fin Review's analysis (which I quote here verbatim 'cos it's really funny and don't we need some light relief?):
"It’s a sure bet (pun intended) these are Baccarat games with 18-year-old Cambodian dealers in bikini bottoms livestreamed from some grey market casino for Chinese dirtbags just across the Thai border. The ones outside Asia will be in the Balkans, probably run by the same outfit who borrowed Liam Neeson’s daughter in Taken."
So if that's the part these Asian investors really do want, it's a match made in heaven! Sell that part to them really cheap to make up for their losses, and keep the part they want to get a foothold in RMG. Deal?
