Here is PLA's (Platinum Australia) simplified flow sheet from their admittedly atrocious 2012 BFS https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-panton-review-study-results.1690418/
and FME's improved flowsheet:
Quite different, no calcine stage, and 4 output products instead of 2: HG concentrate (early cashflow?) an intermediate product, a fines recovery, and chromite product. A lot more extracted from the ore.
Grades were quite different as well. Looking at just the Top Reef:
vs today's mets:
Head grades of 10g/t 3E PGE vs 6.13g/t 6E PGE before.
Have to see how the Q4 scoping study goes. Hopefully prices improve in time for that. Panton has already seen 2x BFS.
I couldn't find a recovery rate for PLA's 2012 effort. Can't imagine it was good.
