that's just a trader attitude, small none sophisticated investors should buy and hold, my mum and dad don't know the "break of a resistance line with good volume". I'm sure the long hold PLS investors consider themself with an investment. Whatever happened to enter early, diverse and hold for 5/10 years. i agree exploration is a risky area but they are ultimately worth what they can find in the ground not what the lines in your chart say.
