I think your chat bot would explode if you asked it to also include the REEs in those calculations!






From that announcement, per above:

Ironstones, at the time of the above announcement:

- Resource: 14Mt @ 1.13% TREO
- Exploration Target: 50-100Mt @ 0.9%-1.13% TREO (mid-point of 75Mt @ 1.1% TREO)

So, 14+75 = 89Mt @ 1.1% TREO, with, say, 29% NdPr (as per current ~30Mt ironstone resource):

--> 89,000,000 x 1.1% x 29% = 283,910 tonnes of NdPr

And that's only down to 150m depth from the ironstones.



And then there's the Carbonatites, where they've also just scratched the surface of, with the 10.84Mt @ 1.00% TREO with 21% NdPr resource (10,840,000 x 1% x 21% = another 22,764 tonnes of NdPr).



Anyway, just in-ground values and there's a lot more things to take into consideration (like getting it out of the ground!), but also, they've just scratched the surface of both the ironstone and the carbonatite resources, so hopefully can bring in a big partner who can drill it all out, but then again the current, defined, shallow resources are enough to last for decades of mining already.
