Thanks GB.. some good info there. Pity DRE was missing on the vertical bar graph comparing other companies deposit's NDR ratios. Is that because ours hasnt been defined to the extent of the others for the whole deposit (so far) and therefore not apples v apples comparison? or because it would make HAS look bad or DRE look more tempting?
Thanks for that Eddy, that was an interesting read and it is a good reminder of a few things that are relevent with exploration in general and DRE particularly so..
You have to have a good plan worked by good people with the vision, stamina and tenacity to keep going during hard times, adapt and change where needed but still keep ploughing ahead to not lose sigth of and achieve the grand vision. I think that summarises Twiggy's story of setback and bounce back to become the icon that he is in the mining world, helped of course by a great team. Its also seems to be the path we are heading down now with the DRE team, obviously nowhere near the end of anything like twiggy's journey yet but we have the main ingredients in place and are rapidly improving the pace and trajectory towards the possibilities of something similar, with a bit of blessing from the drill gods of course..
Not to mention it seems like we are getting nearer the point where valuations for real assets are going to have many reasons to take a major turn to the upside.. Geopoliitcal competition for them, deglobalisation, the ongoing electrification and AI revolution of everything, esp the yet to be seen real boom in robotics which will see a huge demand for REE's amongst other minerals.. A general investor realisation that much of the BS money tied up in crypto is just going to be scammed from them or evaporated into thin air.. i mean that scam train can only go on for so long before the penny drops even with the dumbest of those participants. a useless functionless product that produces nothing other than gambling gains.. if your lucky.. , criminal currency and hopium.. Suckers will eventually run out of money if they dont learn the hard way.. Anyway, at some point when metals really start running human greed will not be able to resist jumping aboard regardless of whats happening elsewhere..
*Agree Cpago55..
But I smell a rat in that whole ukrain rare earths deal myself.. It just doesnt make sense to me.. Whats the big incentive in this ukraine rare earth deposit that is great enough to justfiy blowing huge political capital, make political changes that may have ramifications on the entire world order and for realistically no return for many many years. I mean it'll take years to drill it out and commericalise it, if its even worth the trouble considering the political turmoil over there.. It could become like africa.. militias taking over areas or mines after the deals been done.. all sorts of knackered wartorn infrastructure to fix to service it once its going, so many problems.. ever decreasing numbers of people to work in whatever mines they make.. land mines to clear and all for some unknown quanitiy and quality of rare earths in maybe 10 years time? I mean yeah, they are necessary at the moment for many future edeavours, esp military etc but hello.. There are a heap of deposits like DRE and countless others on the sidelines pretty much just begging to explode into production once the relatively modest funding is in place. The Ukraine REE deal is a red herring of some sort Im sure.. It cant even really benefit trump in his final term other than an ego boost of getting his own way.
The real reason for the sudden interest in rare earths isnt yet known. Its just some kind of distraction. Maybe to distract from trumps crypto which I think is just the equivalent of a anonymous donation box for favours performed by him for scum like putin etc to pay into .. Time will tell anyway.. but the good thing is that its attracting attention to the topic and need for rare earths, so lets hope this works in our favour.. It certainly feels like there is the start of lot of action and fairly seismic manoeuvring happening beneath the rare eath space at the moments Big players positioning, global attention etc.. Lets hope.
We have seen how far they can take DRE when the REE wind was in our sails. We have much further along that road in terms of what we know we have now and will be in an even better space when the REE tailwinds return. It would be quite ironic in a way if when get the gold mining humming as planned, drill out more great gold extentions etc, its all looking good and then the rare earths come back with a vengeance and overshadow DRE's gold operations.. Wouldnt complain.. it would be a nice problem to have im sure we would all agree.
Things can change fast, especially in the current environment.. scare but exciting in equal measures.
