yes all very true coto.. but govt aside, Australia is a country with a LOT of freeloaders, as in either not participating in the wealth creation or not invested in it or just unaware of how lucky they really are.. riding on the backs of those that work or contribute in some way to give australia the wealth that it has.
The socialist ideals that support a lot of them are meant to be a safety net but have long since become a lifestyle system that magically appears from nowhere to keep the non contributors going, and even worse, funds them to weaken the very foundation that effectively provides for them.
I personally think nothing short of a revolution or equivalent shock such as a 30's style depression will actually change anything.
In the meantime, just try to keep your own house in order and do whats right for yourself and those you give a shit about.
It's very telling that all aussie seems to do is export raw materirals that others then extract much more value from or import people that benefit from the remnants of a prosperous past.
