On the face of it YES I would have thought and just let the life of the resource extend a little. As the initial sources produce less it would just take up the slack. But management will also be thinking about the worlds push to go green and will seek to balance that against maximizing the profitability of the available resources. After all they don't want to become locked out of it or restricted.
Still we have to wait until the drill tells us whats available, before worrying about that. It really depends ultimately how big or small it is, which is the leading question.
