shorts are simply betting on a lower share price in the future. once the short is sold it will do little to alter the SP after that.
reasons we can ascertain for shorting:
- SP suppression for T/O
- pairs trades.
- betting that the big R hits globally hitting non producing oil small/mid caps the hardest
- Dorado not being as lucrative as first thought. think we can scratch this one.
