Now the Victorian government is talking about putting pressure on developers to sell their land banks.

Honestly, where do they find these people?

Someone like SGP has to hold on to large land banks in order to plan their master planned estates. Then they can move on to the next planned estate and so on. The word, planned, should be a hint.

Landlords have been exiting the market for several years now- hardly worth it. Now they want developers to vacate the field.

Do we want Stalinist concrete blocks to take over the landscape?

I admit that SGP can make mistakes with their estates- that can happen. Do you want to see what happens when the government tries its hand?

I have an order to get back in slighty lower than the present price. This has been good to me.

Oh, did I tell you about when the kids and grandkids dragged me off to a new playground in a new estate? I regaled them with tales of the developer. Their playgrounds are really impressive. One day my granddaughter will need to hear about the time value of money etc- but I will let her navigate primary school first.
