SHE is chasing the revenue from O&G production.
BRK is chasing reserves (and ultimately land) value.
To my understanding, BRK would prefer to have no direct exposure to oil and gas production and would like to just keep building shareholder value by way of increasing reserves. SHE stepping in for BRK's WI moving forward achieves this.
