I think because our earning are directly correlated to that price it just tells us the income is increasing as the price increases not so much the share price currently
I completely understand your frustration just out of curiosity what is stopping you from cutting your loses and moving on to something else? Genuine question as I have also thought about selling a couple of times in the last 12 months but what stopped me was the rereading the current fundamentals and also waiting on this potential growth story to unfold.
