How do you know they have the results and are holding onto them and it's not a delay at the labs? Those results are material and should be released to market.
You might have zero trust in them but not everyone sees it the same way. Are we naive? Perhaps, too early to tell. You might be too pessimistic and are taking their mistakes as malicious actions.
Hanlon's razor: never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
If they are truly malicious, that's game over for a stock. But if it's a dumb mistake, people can learn from and mistakes can be quite profitable if corrected. Markets are forward looking and always seeking a bounce.
I don't believe it's malicious at this point, I have not seen enough convincing evidence.
