    This sounds like it is written by a surveyor.

    $100 p.hr. is a pretty crummy charge out rate considering the overhead costs associated with running a surveyor. Especially when you compare it to an Engineer who is charged out at between $150 - $300 p.hr. and they have a lot less in the way of overhead cost. In simple terms - Insurances, office space etc. aside an engineer pretty much has a persons brain, some software licensing and a computer. Survey looks like it is a lot more cost intensive.
