I did some research into Apple Airtags vs Tile vs Samsung Smarttag yesterday.

• It seems Apple Airtags will dominate iOS ecosystem
• Samsung Smartag will dominate Samsung ecosystem; and
• Tile will be the main option for Android phones other than those Samsung ones or for users who use it between several different ecosystems

The main advantages for Airtags is their huge install base of 1.5 bn devices.

However, that is why this merger with Life360 makes sense. It adds 36 million MAUs to the Tile community, improving their accuracy. In addition if there is sufficient integration between Life360 app and the Jiobit and Tile tags, then it makes it a no brainer for Life360 circle members to buy and use.

Obviously it there is a big gap between 10s of millions and 1 billion devices, but it's a big improvement.
