@Timtator good article! The technological advancement has improved things out of sight in India. Even the most remote areas have better 3G/4G than we do but electricity is the issue and the maintenance it so poor hence its unreliability and the reliance on generator backup everywhere.

When you get off plane into India it's chaotic, the numbering of houses etc starts with the first house built on the street getting No 1. and the last house built getting the last house number. So it's completely jumbled. However, GPS apps now exist like zippr - for example ordering home delivery food, now you can find the address you need using GPS rather than relying on your telegu/hindi.
