The station itself is worth little. What it does for Red, is it gives them PLH rights over ground water, which means mining companies have to negotiate how much water they can take. Every man and his dog is pegging miscellaneous licenses over the whole Leonora area at present. GMD has several pending over that area as do NiWest (GME) and Glencore's Murrin Murrin operations.
Big plants like Red's use big volumes of water, the old rule of thumb was ton of water for ton of ore.
