I guess my question to the oilfield experts was how normal is it to have such a discrepancy between testing and production. The poor production seemed to be from the outset, so why would the testing be so good as to warrant such an investment in production facilities, given the knowledge that when the lower sands were exhausted they would need to invest plenty more in bringing the upper sands into production. It wasn't as if they decided to have a go while they were there.
